The PREVENT Institute: Developing Leaders in Violence Prevention Sample Institute Agenda The three-pronged PREVENT approach to learning combines education, networking and technical assistance with 6 days of courses lead by expert faculty. Part 1 is four days of coursework and team-based activities followed by Part 2, a six-month project back home with assistance from a coach. During this period, teams apply new skills working on an actual prevention program. Part 3 caps off the experience with three more days of courses and team presentation.
